Craigslist plus Blogging Equals Profit

Good day!
Most of my readers know that I’m a marketer (Bricks to Clicks Marketing Consultant) outside of my blogging instruction and pursuits. That’s why I am always sharing how those visiting can copy my success in marketing their business message in the same way. Here’s a way that I used the pretty much the same copy that I used in my Craigslist ad for my blog content to get extra bang for my creative content; much the same way I encourage my students to combine blogs, websites, and online articles to create a larger “net” to pull in viewers and hopefully buyers for your products, services and ideas.

First I created my Craigslist ad. Just as with creating blog content, I always compose and edit my ideas in a Microsoft Word document. This way I can rearrange things to make sense and I retain a copy on my hard drive or computer files somewhere for future use (perhaps a Kindle book?).

Craigslist doesn’t like it when you use web addresses within the ads so most people “hide” or “disquise” them if they use them at all. I have people reply and I follow up with the link in my response. Sometimes ads can “work” with webaddresses and other times, they do not. It’s too in-depth to explain here (you can see my web page: www.terscott.com/craigslistcoach if you would like more information). My point here is that you’ll note that I actually used the site name in my title: MyImprintrepDOTcom Celebrates JUNE: (Twin Ports Area); a pretty daring move. I will tell you how it turns out! Using great and powerful headlines in newspapers, ads of any type, and even as email subject lines is a course in itself. I will cover that sometime later.

Then I simply copy and paste it into the Craigslist ad area. I also create a simple picture for the ad (people like pictures) and I use that in my ad.

Then I publish as I do with any ad. But I don’t stop there. Next I edit it slightly to use as a post in one of my blogs. Since I was promoting one of my businesses (www.MyImprintRep.com) I used the appropriate blog (I’m also known as “The Man of 100 Blogs”). The blog I transferred the same content from the Craigslist ad (with minor revision) is: http://newtonmanufacturingcompany.blogspot.com/. Voila! I’ve used the same content for two things, a Craigslist ad and a blog post. Remember that Craigslist ads and your blog titles are “searchable” in search engines so be sure to give some thought into creating them.

Next time you are creating content, think of other ways where you can use it!

That’s it for this time!

PS. The content I used had to do with using holidays and monthly causes as opportunities to create exposure for your business message. Consider special holiday and months for your business. And yes, if your business is related to any I’ve mentioned at my blog post: http://newtonmanufacturingcompany.blogspot.com/ you can also get free shipping when you order from www.myimprintrep.com/123order.
