How can a blog post go viral?

Why did this blog post about listening go “viral”? Why so many readers to this one post?

If you haven’t read it you owe it to yourself to do so; I’ll think you’ll find it interesting and you might find out how your listening skills can be enhanced making you a better listener and a better person (and an “Instant Public Speaker”).
