Here’s how I do it.
This morning for instance I was writing comments to my online oral communications class about something I read in a book that I was reading. Those are two clues; one, teach a class and two, always be reading. Yes, you can teach something because everyone certainly knows something. But if you are not in a “teaching” position, you can find and create similar content by using what you do when you are writing anything from a grocery list to an email to a friend; simply refine it and voila, you have something for your blog. Anyway, I will go on; back to how I added content to three blogs this morning.
Since my online class has to do with “public speaking” and I have several blogs with this theme, I was able to use the same content with slight editing modifications as posts. You can see exactly what I mean by visiting them:
So, that’s how you can first, create content by being aware that much of what you write everyday is worthy of posting, and that with a bit of editing you can place interesting posts in several blogs, thereby offering something to slightly different audiences.
Be sure to leave comments and questions here on this blog and I’ll do my best to answer them. Also if you’ve not taken the Master Blog Class in a classroom situation from me and have “stumbled” upon this blog you may take the “virtual” class by going to www.terscott.com/blogclass. Enter the code: CONTENT3112 to get the course at only $19 instead of the usual $29, good until the end of this month.
